Toronto prepares for the Canada Investment Summit on September 14–15

The first Canada Investment Summit is scheduled for Toronto on September 14–15. The federal programme describes a gathering hosted by the prime minister with CPP Investments and PSP Investments, bringing investors together with Canadian project proponents. [1]

The federal goal of mobilizing $1 trillion in investment over five years is an announced ambition. The programme does not establish that this money has already been committed. Future announcements will need scrutiny of funding, timing and conditions. [1]
