U.S.–China trade: product lists set out proposed tariff relief
The framework covers US$30 billion in goods in each direction, subject to domestic procedures.

New report in the September 28 edition. Announcements retain their actual dates.
The White House published two lists on September 27 of products recommended for reduced tariff treatment between the United States and China. Its statement says both countries will consider the lists under their domestic laws and procedures. [1]
Selected product categories
The framework announced on September 25 covers US$30 billion in non-sensitive goods in each direction. Categories include U.S. agricultural products and medical devices, and Chinese small household appliances and toys. [2]
Implementation is separate from the announcement
That amount describes trade covered, not duties saved. The recommended lists do not establish that a reduced tariff already applies. [1]
Bloomberg reports on September 28 that Beijing expects simultaneous reductions after domestic procedures are completed. The agency also notes that disputes over export controls and Taiwan persist despite this trade development. [3]
The September 25 U.S. fact sheet also says discussions about shortages of rare earths and other critical minerals are continuing. It does not present that supply issue as resolved. [2]
