Quebec voters go to the polls Monday, October 5, to elect a new National Assembly. Élections Québec confirms that the election uses a map of 127 electoral districts, revised since 2022. [1]

A quarter of electors have already voted

Polling stations are scheduled to open from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Élections Québec says 25.59% of electors already voted between September 25 and October 1. That figure covers early voting, not final turnout. [2]

Campaign issues

According to The Canadian Press, the cost of living, economic uncertainty and the prospect of another sovereignty referendum have featured in the campaign. Leading figures include Paul St-Pierre Plamondon, Christine Fréchette, Charles Milliard, Ruba Ghazal and Éric Duhaime. [3]

Before heading out

The polling location appears on the yellow reminder card or can be checked with Élections Québec. An accepted piece of identification is required; the reminder card is optional. [2]
